Private residence for a local high-end developer completed in 2017. Located on a dense neighborhood flag-lot flanked by a small creek.  Needing a place of calm, the client requested simple elements insulating the home from the nearby properties while allowing for a more gathering focused serious of spaces.  The result was a home designed with a master and a bedroom wing all pivoting off of a central living/kitchen space.  Material challenged local building norms by integrating cast-in-place concrete and shou sugi ban siding.
